§ Sir Peter Hordernasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will publish a table showing the level of investment in the United Kingdom made by foreign-based pharmaceutical companies in each year of the last five years, to the latest available date.
§ Mr. ButcherInformation on the level of inward direct investment is available only from the triennial census of overseas assets and liabilities. The latest available data related to the end of 1981 and showed investment of £868 million. Levels of direct investment at the end of 1984 will not be available until the end of 1986.
