§ Mr. Millanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will give figures for National Health Service expenditure in England for each of the years 1979–80 to 1984–85 and as estimated for 1985–86, in cash, cost., and volume terms making use of the deflator factors appropriate to the National Health Service in England, showing also the figures as indices with 1979–80 as a base year.
§ Mr. HayhoeThe tables provide the information which the right hon. Member requested. It is not possible to express expenditure on the National Health Service in 1985–86 in terms of National Health Service pay and prices, since the appropriate pay and price indices are not yet available.
