HC Deb 18 February 1986 vol 92 c117W
Mr. Beith

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the current average times for hip replacement operations in the northern region.

Mr. Whitney

The estimated median interval between the date a patient was placed on the waiting list and the date of admission to a National Health Service hospital for total hip replacement and other arthroplasty of hip in the Northern regional health authority in 1983, the latest year for which figures are available centrally, was 30 weeks.
