§ Dr. Boyson[pursuant to his reply, 13 February 1986, c. 523]: A total of £21,522,047 has been paid towards the maintenance and development of the tobacco industry in Northern Ireland. The industry currently employs 4,166 people in a region of particularly high unemployment.
