§ Mr. Meadowcroftasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will cease to require members of committees concerned with food standards to sign the Official Secrets Act.
§ Mrs. FennerMembers of the Food Advisory Committee and the Committee on Toxicity are not required to sign any such declarations. In common with any person with access to official information they are subject to the provisions of the Official Secrets Act and where appropriate therefore they are reminded of the need to observe commercial confidentiality.
