§ Mr. HurdI last met the commissioner privately on 6 February when we discussed the use of firearms by the police. The commissioner and a number of his senior colleagues also attended the meeting which I held on 10 February with the London Boroughs' Association, the566W Association of London Authorities, and the Outer London Districts Metropolitan Police Consultative Association to discuss his recent strategy report. A wide range of subjects was discussed at that meeting, including finance, manpower, ethnic minority recruitment, the force reorganisation, co-operation between the police and local authorities, the Holloway road assault case, standards of professional conduct and traffic matters.
