§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list the range of tuition fees which students from overseas have been required to pay for (a) undergraduate courses and (b) post graduate courses at universities since 1979–80.
§ Mr. WaldenFor the academic year 1979–80 the Secretary of State for Education and Science recommended that overseas students should pay fees of £940 for undergraduate courses and of £1,230 for postgraduate courses. For subsequent years minimum fee levels have been recommended by the University Grants Committee as follows:
