§ Mr. HowardInformation on companies going out of business classified by industry is available only in respect of compulsory and creditors' voluntary liquidations. In Great Britain there were 1,056 compulsory and creditors' voluntary liquidations of companies classified to the metals and engineering industries (classes 22 and 31–37 of the standard industrial classification) during the period January to September 1985.
