§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what assumption was made in table Pl of the technical annex to "Reform of Social Security" as to the proportion of the payments made to personal and occupational pension schemes that would be used to defray adminstrative expenses, to pay commission, or in any other way not resulting in the provision of benefit for or in respect of members of those schemes.
§ Mr. NewtonAdministrative and all other charges are assumed to account for 10 per cent. and 7 per cent. respectively of contributions to personal pensions and occupational money-purchase schemes, as indicated in paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 of the techincal annex. These assumptions were made for illustrative purposes only and are not intended as firm indications of the Government's intentions.
