§ Mr. EggarMy right hon. and learned Friend made an official visit to Turkey in February last year. He has no current plans to pay a further visit in 1986. We look forward to the official visit to the United Kingdom of the Turkish Prime Minister, later this month.
§ 82. Mrs. Clwydasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he discussed human rights during the visit of the Prime Minister of Turkey to the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. EggarAs my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister has already made clear we look forward to holding wide ranging talks with Mr. Ozal later this month. My right hon. and learned Friend will welcome the progress made by his Government on human rights. while, as on previous occasions, expressing our hope that Turkey will continue its efforts in this area.
