Mr. Whitney

I understand that the course of ambulance driver training to which I referred in my reply to my hon. Friend on 10 December 1985 at column614, and the test related to it, which is required for all staff driving emergency ambulances, includes motorway driving. Those driving "sitting case vehicles" on non emergency work are given driver training as considered necessary to meet local conditions. We see no reason to change this arrangement.
