§ Mr. Biffen[pursuant to his reply, 31 January 1986, c. 631]: Details with regard to complaints and faults for every year since 1969 could be produced only at disproportionate cost. During the financial year 1984–85 (April 1984–March 1985) 23 telephone complaints were received. During the same period the number of faults reported on the Palace of Westminster telephone exchange were as follows:
