Mr. Harrison

asked the Lord Privy Seal how many telephone complaints have been registered in the Palace of Westminster; and how many faults have been reported in each year since 1969.

[pursuant to his reply, 31 January 1986, c. 631]: Details with regard to complaints and faults for every year since 1969 could be produced only at disproportionate cost. During the financial year 1984–85 (April 1984–March 1985) 23 telephone complaints were received. During the same period the number of faults reported on the Palace of Westminster telephone exchange were as follows:
