§ 37. Mr. Bruceasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what information is available to his Department in respect of the expected change in the average income of full-time students between 1978 and the latest year for which figures are available.
§ Mr. WaldenThe Department does not collect information on student incomes. For those full-time students in receipt of full value awards, the average maintenance award rose from £1,007 in the academic year 1977–78 to £1,748 in 1983–84 including assessed contributions from parents and spouses, and from £727 to £1,311 over the same period excluding such contributions.
