I regret that an analysis by reference to the reasons for award or disallowance, as in my reply to the hon. Member on 28 November 1985, at columns657–58, could be produced only at disproportionate cost.
The tables derive from a special computer analysis of statistical returns, and their totals of awards and disallowances correct those given in my repl) on 28 November 1985, at columns 657–58, which were based on a clerical count. Tables 4 to 6 do not include those disallowed solely because they were over pension age.
