§ Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, pursuant to the answer of 23 January and 16 December 1985, Official Report, column 581, he will now provide figures for the whole of 1985 relating to the numbers of racial incidents in the Metropolitan police district.
§ Mr. MellorI presume that the hon. Member is referring to the reply given to the hon. Member for Newham, North-West (Mr. Banks) on 10 December 1985, at column583. I understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that the provisional number of racial incidents recorded in the Metropolitan police district in the whole of 1985 is 1,935.
