Whether the EC "Scrap and Build" plan aimed at boosting the Community's shipping and shipbuilding industries has been completed, and if so with what results for which countries, how many ships were scrapped, and of which kind, how many ships were built, and of which kind, and what conclusions have been drawn.

No scheme exists. Proposals by the European Commission were considered by the Council of Ministers in November 1979 but no firm conclusions were reached. The Commission has not put forward any new proposals since then.
