HC Deb 03 February 1986 vol 91 c47W
Mr. O'Brien

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if following his rejection of the Kirkhamgate to Dishforth road scheme, he is currently considering any alternative schemes to alleviate traffic congestion on the A642 through Woodlesford, Leeds; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The A642 is a local authority road and I have no proposals, at present, to relieve traffic problems there. However, I expect soon to announce the terms of reference of a study which will examine traffic problems in and to the east of Leeds.

I shall write to the hon. Member when the terms of reference are decided.
