§ Mr. Heddleasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will make a statement on the present position regarding the pilot scheme by the west midlands regional health authority on computerised hospital waiting lists.
§ Mr. NewtonThe project is under way. Since July the selected group of general practitioners has received monthly bulletins containing detailed information on inpatient and out-patient waiting times for general surgery in the region. Referrals from those general practitioners are being monitored.
