§ Mr. Altonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what guidelines are issued by his Department on staffing levels and the provision of facilities for primary schools with a roll of 200 children; and what information he has as to the extent to which voluntary-aided schools are resourced to this level.
§ Mr. DunnSpecific guidance on these matters is not issued, but the Department discusses with the local authority associations the assumptions and policies underlying the Government's expenditure plans. It is for local authorities to decide, in the light of local circumstances, on the resourcing of individual county and voluntary aided schools.
