§ Mr. Douglas HoggDuring the course of this year we have been engaged regularly in discussions with the Association of Chief Police Officers about the police response to the recommendations made by the Women's642W National Commission in its report on violence against women. This included domestic violence, and guidance was issued to chief officers in Home Office circular 69/1986 on 15 October 1986.
