§ Mr. NewtonWe have received from the National Association of Health Authorities a copy of its survey of difficulties in the recruitment of junior doctors. Representatives of NAHA have also met with departmental officials on the matter to consider how such difficulties could be avoided. The possible means of resolving the current difficulties that emerged from these and other discussions were discussed on 4 December and I have nothing to add to my hon. Friend's statement.
