§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe have no plans to do so at present. The controls on air weapons in the Firearms Act 1968 are already strict. They have recently been the subject of local publicity campaigns in the west midlands and Greater Manchester police force areas. When we have evaluated these campaigns, we shall consider whether to run similar ones next year in other areas where the incidence of misuse is high.
