§ Baroness YoungRecent events in Washington have not changed our view. Nicaragua could contribute270WA towards peace in the region, and thereby allay its own security concerns, if it were to end its support for insurgencies in neighbouring countries and, at home, establish a genuine pluralist democracy and improve civil liberties.
