§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much tax in total, including specific tax, and valorem tax and value-added tax, in pence per packet of 20 cigarettes is levied on (a) a packet of United Kingdom manufactured king size cigarettes retailing at £1.50 and (b) a packet of imported Virginia king size cigarettes retailing at £1.21.
