Mr. Terry Davis

asked the Paymaster General how many installations which have been notified to the Health and Safety Executive under the notification of Installations Handling Hazardous Substances Regulations 1982 come under these regulations by virtue of the storage of the hazardous substance chlorine.

The number of installations notified to the Health and Safety Executive under the notification of Installations Handling Hazardous Substances Regulations 1982 by virtue of the storage of chlorine is 153.

asked the Paymaster General how many sites come under the Control of Industrial Major Accident Hazards Regulations 1984 by virtue of the dangerous substance involved being one listed in schedule 3, column 1 of the regulations which has a quantity as listed in schedule 3, column 2 of the regulations of 1 tonne or less.
