§ Mrs. CurrieI refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my hon. Friend the Member for Wycombe (Mr. Whitney) on 3 July at columns634–636 which provided details of regional secure units in England. This information is still broadly accurate. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales would be able to supply information on the proposals for regional secure accommodation in Wales.
While regional secure units will treat mentally disordered patients accused of serious criminal offences, places for such offenders are not separately allocated.
