§ Mr. MellorWe have received numerous representations on the age of consent for homosexual acts in the last five years. The number of these which specifically propose or oppose reduction in the age of consent to 16 could be ascertained only at disproportionate cost. We have no plans to introduce legislation to change the age of consent.
