§ Mrs. CurrieAt 1 October, the latest date for which information is available, there were 115 vacancies in the public health laboratory service out of a total of 2,287 posts (5 per cent.). The majority of these had been vacant for less than three months. Current vacancies will be filled as soon as suitable candidates become available.
