§ Mr. Maddenasked the Prime Minister what is the practice of the Government regarding the submission prior to publication of manuscripts of books by Ministers.
§ The Prime MinisterMinisters contemplating the publication of material based upon their recollection of the conduct of Government business in which they took part are expected to submit their manuscript to the Secretary of the Cabinet and to conform to the principles and procedures set out in the report of the Committee of Privy Counsellors on Ministerial Memoirs, 1976 (Cmnd. 6386).
