§ Mr. Pawseyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about appointments to the governing body of the centre for information on language teaching and research.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerI have appointed Sir Hugh Campbell Byatt, KCVO, CMG, MA as chairman of the governing body of the centre for information on language teaching and research. He will succeed Dr. Albert Sloman, CBE, to whose long and dedicated service on the centre's behalf I gladly pay tribute. I intend to announce the appointment of new members to the governing body of CILT in the near future.
