§ Mr. Michael SpicerNon noise-certificated aircraft on the United Kingdom register have been banned in the United Kingdom since the beginning of this year. The ban will apply to foreign registered aircraft from 1 January 1988. We are pursuing, in international negotiations, the question of phasing out United Kingdom and foreign chapter 2 aeroplanes in the longer term. Under restrictions announced in 1981 routine night operations by noisier aircraft will he banned at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted from 1 April next year.
