§ Mr. Giles ShawMy right hon. Friend and I meet Mr. Day, the chairman of Austin Rover and Rover Group from time to time to discuss matters of mutual interest. As my right hon. Friend told the House on 2 December we expect the 1987 corporate plan to set out a positive course for the continuation of Austin Rover as a major producer and leading exporter of cars made in Britain. It is due to be received around the turn of the year.
