§ Mr. WaldenThe Department does not collect this information. Up to the academic year 1980–81, all student unions were financed by a per capita fee charged to the individual student. Since 1981–82, student unions in institutions of higher education have been financed by means of a block allocation from the resources of their parent institutions. The total amount of such allocations is not known. Arrangements for the funding of student unions in other further education institutions are locally determined.
