§ Mr. Ian Stewart[pursuant to his reply, 8 December 1986]: A copy of the Report entitled "The Friendly Societies in the Welfare State", prepared by Professor E. V. Morgan for the Steering Committee of the National Conference of Friendly Societies was received on 27 November. Professor Morgan's report makes a number of recommendations for change which will be considered carefully.
