§ Mr. David MitchellThe Disabled Persons' Transport Advisory Committee (established under the Transport Act 1985) is working closely with the Department in drawing up guidelines for transport operators on various aspects of provision for elderly and disabled people. These include vehicle design and adaptation, staff training and the size and nature of the potential passenger market amongst disabled people.
