§ Mr. Strangasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department which local fire and civil defence authorities in England he has advised to implement a recruitment freeze of operational firefighters in their fire brigade from the financial year starting 1 April 1987 onwards; and whether he will list the fire brigades affected and estimate the number of firefighter posts in each brigade that will be lost.
