§ Mr. BiffenIn June 1985 the Services Committee decided that call information logging equipment should be fitted to the new Palace of Westminster electronic telephone exchange for system management purposes only. The information stored by this equipment can be accessed by only a severely restricted number of individuals, and there are no facilities for recording telephone conversations.
