§ Mr. Donald ThompsonThe safety screening of pesticides under the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 takes account of their likely residues in agricultural products, and requires any residue to be safe. In addition, the Government proposed on 30 October to fix statutory limits for certain residues. I recommend my hon Friend to consider the proposal, which I have placed in the Library of the House as a consultative document.
