§ Mr. JoplingI have made a number of statements about my policies for the future of agriculture, including alternative land use and the implications for the rural economy, most recently at the annual conference of the society for responsible use of resources in agriculture and on the land on 24 September this year.
I shall continue to use all appropriate means to promote the Government's policy for agriculture and the reform of the common agricultural policy and to keep the industry informed of our thinking.
