§ 63. Mr. Barnettasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement about the recent state visit of President Museveni of Uganda.
§ Mrs. ChalkerPresident Museveni of Uganda visited the United Kingdom officially between 15 and 18 November. His programme included an audience of Her Majesty the Queen, and meetings with my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister, my right hon. and learned Friend the Foreign Secretary, my right hon. Friend the Minister of State for the Armed Forces, my hon. Friend the Minister for Overseas Development and myself. The visit underlines the importance which we attach to the return of stability and prosperity to Uganda.
