(2) when the civil defence committee of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's senior civil emergency planning committee last met; and if he will place the minutes of the committee's deliberations in the Library;
(3) what are the terms of reference for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's civil defence committee.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe civil defence committee provides the forum for consultation on national plans for all aspects of the protection of the public in an emergency. Discussions inform the development of planning in the United Kingdom, but do not determine its direction.
The committee last met on 2 and 3 October 1986. It would not be appropriate to place records of the committee's meetings in the Library.
