§ Mr. Gummer[pursuant to his reply, 1 December 1986, c. 471]: It has been the policy of successive Governments, since 1974, not to grant aid the construction of purse seiners or fishing vessels with a pursing capability. This policy is kept under review in the light of changing circumstances within the fisheries sector.
