How many homes have been sold by local authorities both to tenants under "right to buy" legislation and for other reasons for each year since 1979, and what was the total revenue for both categories of sales.

The available estimates of numbers and capital values of local authority dwelling sales in Great Britain for the financial years from 1979/80, are given in the table attached.

There were 30,500 voluntary sales of dwellings by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive in the whole period, with a capital value of £222.9 million.
