HC Deb 03 December 1986 vol 106 c670W
Mr. Simon Hughes

asked the Paymaster General how many unemployment benefit offices do not have ramp access for disabled people; and if there are any plans to increase the number of unemployment benefit offices with wheel chair access.

Mr. Lee

Information is not available in the form requested. Many unemployment benefit offices already provide wheelchair access, but where this is not available, and access is a problem, special alternative arrangements are made for disabled persons. The unemployment benefit service has plans for replacing or improving unsatisfactory offices, and these afford opportunities for improving access.
