§ Mr. Donald ThompsonWe propose to implement this directive by regulations made under section 2(3) of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1968. Statutory consultation procedures have today been set in train by circulating our detailed proposals to interested organisations. Following consideration of comments received, draft regulations will be laid before both Houses of Parliament for approval in good time for these welfare measures to apply from 1 January 1988.
