§ Mr. NewtonThe numbers of occupational therapists employed by social services authorities in England are given in the table—1985 is the latest year for which figures are available. Information on numbers of vacancies for occupational therapists is not collected centrally, but a survey in 1984 carried out by the Association of Social Services Directors estimated that 13 per cent. of funded posts in England were vacant.
