§ Q155. Mr. Teddy Taylorasked the Prime Minister if she will raise at the next meeting of the European Council the implications for the 4 December 1984 agreement of the Council on budgetary control of the subsidised export of food and wine to eastern Europe; and if she will make a statement.
§ The Prime MinisterI shall continue to use every suitable opportunity to emphasise the need for decisions on common agricultural policy reform. Bringing surpluses and their associated budgetary costs under better control will reduce the need for subsidised exports.
