§ Mr. Peter BottomleyIt is for local highway authorities to determine the arrangements they need to fulfil their obligations for road safety under section 8 of the 1974 Road Traffic Act. They are not required to tell the Department whether they have accident investigation and prevention teams; it is not therefore possible to list authorities with such teams, but I think two thirds do.
