HC Deb 01 December 1986 vol 106 c483W
Mr. McCrindle

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what conclusions he draws from the broadcasting research unit survey of television viewers' attitudes to (a) the British Broadcasting Corporation taking advertising, (b) coverage of crisis situations and (c) the role of current affairs programmes; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Mellor

We conclude that these are complex matters on which a wide range of views and research findings exist.
