HC Deb 30 April 1986 vol 96 c416W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will take steps to ensure that there is no discrimination under company legislation against companies who submit their accounts to Companies House in the Welsh language.

Mr. Howard

Under the Companies Act, accounts submitted to the Registrar of Companies in any language other than English must be accompanied by a certified translation into English.

I am prepared to examine these requirements to see if any changes are desirable.
